Fiberglass mesh, for reinforcing coatings in thermal facade systems, with a frame opening of 4x4mm and a weight of 160gr/m². It is distinguished by its resistance to alkaline environments. It provides significant reinforcement to mortars and protects them from cracks resulting from contraction and expansion. The use of DUROSTICK DS-4160 in the THERMOSEAL External Thermal Insulation System for Buildings is mandatory, as the coatings face particular stresses, on the one hand because the heat cannot expand backwards due to the thermal insulation material and on the other hand due to the existence of many joints between the thermal insulation boards. With DS-4160 glass mesh we also reinforce surfaces coated with DUROSTICK's compacted cement mortar DS-250, DS-252 FLEX and DS-254 IRON, especially in areas that receive heavy traffic loads (such as professional spaces) or that receive vibrations or stresses (such as lofts, etc.).
