HyRoof Hybrid PU is a new technology hybrid elastomeric roof waterproofing based on acrylic polyurethane, offering a hybrid waterproofing system for more than 10 years of protection. It forms a highly elastic, impermeable seamless membrane, offering excellent protection against moisture and standing water. It has excellent adhesion to all roof substrates such as concrete, asphalt membranes, cement slabs, old insulation, after appropriate preparation and/or priming with HyRoof Hybrid PU Primer. It exhibits very low water absorption, covers microcracks and capillaries extremely well. It exhibits high resistance to extreme weather conditions from -30oC/+90oC and excellent resistance to UV radiation and thermal aging. It is certified by the University of Athens, Department of Physics, for its properties as a cool roof covering material, resulting in a highly reflective final layer (93% visible spectrum reflectivity), which improves the energy efficiency of buildings by reducing cooling costs. It is also certified as a concrete surface protection product, according to the EN 1504-2 standard. Its easy application, safe use and the absence of restrictions make HyRoof Hybrid PU an ideal solution for the end consumer who wants to apply it themselves.

Preparation:
Surfaces must be clean, dry and smooth, free of dust or loose material. In case of cracks, use Vitex Elastomeric Putty to cover them. New or old painted surfaces are primed with HyRoof Primer in order to stabilize the surfaces to be painted.
Application:
The product is stirred well before use. It is applied with a roller, brush, or airless gun in two layers crosswise without dilution, with a total consumption of at least
1 Lt/m² on the entire flat surface to be waterproofed and on the perimeter vertical parapets at least 30-40 cm high. For protection and a service life of up to 10 years, the use of HyRoof polyester reinforcement fabric is required. The reinforcement is incorporated into the layers while the underlying surface is still wet. It is recommended that the consumption of HyRoof Hybrid PU be 1.1 Lt/m² under the reinforcement, final layer 0.8 Lt/m², reaching a total consumption of at least 1.9 Lt/m². It should not be applied at temperatures lower than 5°C, higher than 35°C and/or relative humidity above 80% or if there is a risk of rain or frost in the next forty-eight hours. The product is dry to the touch in 2-3 hours and can be repainted after 16-24 hours. These times vary depending on weather conditions (relative humidity and temperature). Tools are cleaned immediately after use with water and if necessary with soap or detergent.
